Laine Mendenhall

Laine was born and raised in the Des Moines area. After graduating from Grand View College, she worked several years within the communications department for the West Des Moines Community School District. Her role included producing publications, managing the district's website, working with the school board as Board Secretary and assisting prospective residents in answering district-related questions.

In the late 1990s, she transitioned to the for-profit arena upon joining Locust Street Securities, Inc. as a Marketing Manager. She coordinated regional conferences, oversaw maintenance of the company's website and helped create an employee rewards system for outstanding customer service.

As her family grew, she chose to work independently for several years building websites for small businesses and non-profit organizations. Laine joined the Visionary Services team in 2008 as a Senior Project Manager. Since joining Visionary, she has overseen the development of hundreds of website projects and currently manages a team of skilled designers, project leads and developers. Laine's area of expertise include project management, HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver and other web-based technologies.

During her time away from work, Laine engages in community activities, is committed to volunteer opportunities, spends time nurturing her three daughters and training for distance running events. Laine recently graduated from the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, a leadership program targeted to develop stronger community leaders.
