Introduction

FIREHOUSE Software is the only software developed from the ground up to integrate seamlessly with every detail of your emergency operation - paperwork included. From the initial call to the final report, and everything in between, FH software provides you with powerful tools you need to get the job done. Objective

Four years ago, ACS FIREHOUSE Software collaborated with VSi to redesign their website, expanding the amount of online information available to both their existing and prospective clients. However, managing the information became cumbersome because the site was not created with any online administrative tools for updating content.

In early 2011, FIREHOUSE decided to go through another redesign and upgrade process. VSi spent months planning and developing several custom administrative tools for the FIREHOUSE site. Because their site contains a large amount of documents and other downloadable materials for their clients, the admin tools developed needed to be flexible and user-friendly for the FIREHOUSE staff to manage the volume of materials posted to the site.

Strategy

Visionary developed a custom system which allows FIREHOUSE to upload documents with one tool, and assign a single document to display on multiple pages of the web site. A secondary tool allows FIREHOUSE to manage the order of the documents posted on each page, which allows for the most flexibility.

Another priority for FIREHOUSE centered around specific state information posted to the site. Because each state contains unique data and downloadable materials, VSi developed a tool for FIREHOUSE to manage all of the state-specific materials within one admin tool.

The new web site also closely aligns branding guidelines of FIREHOUSE's parent company, XEROX.
