Get to Know: Project Lead Krista Scheidecker

Start of by telling everyone about yourself:

I grew up in northern Iowa and was the sixth person in my family to graduate from Iowa State University. I also married an ISU grad, and we live in West Des Moines.

What is your professional background?

My degree is in Logistics and Supply Chain, and I spent six years working for a local third-party logistics provider. I quickly realized my love for Excel and data, which led to a lot of analysis work!

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Reading, traveling, painting, playing volleyball and pretending I can snowboard a few times a year.

What have you enjoyed about Visionary so far?

The people and the collaborative environment!

Where is your favorite place to eat in Des Moines?

Aroy-Dee. They have the best pho in town.

What is your favorite season and why?

Fall is my favorite because of the beautiful colors. And after a hot and humid Iowa summer, I am always ready for some cooler weather!

Best book or blog you've read lately?

It’s a toss-up, The Girl on the Train or Bossypants.

What is one thing you could not live a day without?

My water bottle.
